BANKRUPTCY & INSOLVENCY
Following the enactment of Law 3588/2007 (in force from 16 September 2007), Greece has acquired a new Bankruptcy Code. Insolvency proceedings for the satisfaction of creditors are mainly governed by the Bankruptcy Code (Law 3588/2007), as well as other Laws with a limited time frame (example Law 4307/2014), whereas the debts of non-merchant individuals (hybrid personal insolvency) are governed by Law 3869/2010.
Our practice focuses on bankruptcy proceedings, restructuring, insolvency proceedings, business debt settlements proceedings, hybrid personal insolvency proceedings, and international bankruptcy law.
As bankruptcy & insolvency lawyers we focus on assisting clients through court proceedings to reduce or eliminate debt or to proceed forward with bankruptcy. Out of the court room, we advise clients in the complexities of bankruptcy laws and counsel them in reducing their debt load by liquidating assets and paying creditors, or, we may work on the side of creditors, attempting to extract as much money owed as possible from their debtors.
